Success on the diamond starts long before the first pitch is thrown. Whether you are leading from the dugout as a manager, guiding the team as a coach, or tracking every play from the scorekeeper’s chair, this is your home for the essential tools of the game. We’ve gathered the latest documents and digital guides to help you stay sharp and ready for action. We keep this hub updated in real-time, so you always have the most current playbook at your fingertips to help our community thrive.

  • USA Softball Banned Bats

Staying safe on the diamond is our top priority, and that starts with the gear we use. Softball bats must meet strict safety standards to protect our players, coaches, umpires, and fans from serious injury. Because there are hundreds of models out there, we’ve simplified how to tell if your bat is ready for game day!

The "Safe at Home" Bat Guide

To be legal for league and tournament play, your bat must pass this three-step check:

Check the Banned List: First, ensure your bat is not pictured in the "Banned Bats" graphic below.

Look for the Stamp: Your bat must feature one of the five official USA Softball approved stamps (see the image for what these look like).

Inspect the Condition: Even if a bat is approved, it cannot be used if it is cracked, dented, or damaged.

The Bottom Line: If your bat is not on the banned list, has an official stamp, and is in great shape, you’re good to go! Let's keep the competition fierce and the field safe for everyone.
