Leadership Rooted in Service

The heartbeat of the Palm Springs Gay Softball League is sustained by the dedication of our Executive Board—a team of seven elected volunteers who serve as the administrative guardians of our community. More than just a leadership body, the Board acts as the bridge between vision and action, working in close harmony with the PSGSL Council of coaches and managers. Together, they ensure that the ideas, goals, and dreams of our members are translated into the vibrant reality we experience on the field. This group is tasked with the vital responsibility of keeping our league organized, transparent, and focused on our shared mission of pride and play.


Leadership in the PSGSL is a journey open to everyone; we believe that new voices strengthen our collective future. Any member in good standing is invited to step forward and run for an Executive Board position, with nominations welcomed throughout the months of April and May. Whether you are nominated by a peer in writing or stand to be recognized from the floor during our spring meetings, your willingness to serve is the greatest gift you can offer the league. To ensure a dedicated leadership team, all candidates must formally consent to their nomination—either in person during our meetings or in writing at least one week prior to the election—affirming their commitment to the growth and spirit of our desert home.

Diversity, Inclusion & Ethics: Ensure all players are treated fairly and respected on and off the field, reviewing any complaints brought to the board

Elections:

Assist with making sure that everyone receives ballots and responds to important elections within the league


Events:

Help organize and execute events to ensure they run smoothly and successfully


Hall of Fame:

Organize all Hall of Fame nominees and ensure complete information is provided to current Hall of Fame members for their review

Operations:

Support the day-to-day functions of the league (facilities, equipment, logistics) to ensure everything runs smoothly

Pride:

Help organize the parade, float, and any other activities during Pride weekend

Rules & By Laws:

Review existing rules and bylaws to ensure they remain current, accurate, and aligned with the league's needs


Turkey Shootout:

Support all aspects of the Turkey Shootout tournament, including planning, organizing, and executing the event to ensure a smooth, well-run, and successful competition.
